Striking Rolex Datejust Lady 31 MM – The 2010 New Collection

In our previous posts about BaselWorld 2010, there was one of the biggest names in the world of wristwatches missing from our sight. Yes, that’s Rolex. In fact, I was looking forward to write a post about the new Rolex models, but I didn’t have such opportunity because Rolex did not unveil their 2010 new collection until the very last minute of the opening of Baselworld. Now my chance finally arrives. Today, I am going to share with you some really striking women’s watches – The new Rolex Datejust Lady 31 MM.
There were three new Rolex Datejust Lady 31 MM released at the BaselWorld 2010. They are in everose gold, yellow gold and white gold, respectively. But the major difference of these new models does not lie in the material, but the distinct designs for dials and decors.
The everose model features chocolate dial and domed bezel set with 24 scattered brilliants.
The yellow gold version features silver dial and bezel fully-paved with 46 brilliants.
Both of the above two watches have Roman numerals and gem-set Roman numeral at 6 o’clock
The white gold DateJust features fluted bezel and dark rhodium dial with beautiful floral motifs replacing the Roman hour markers.
All the three watches are COSC certified and are water-resistant to 100 meters and of course, as their name shows, are sized in 31 mm case, perfect to today’s preference (the previously Rolex DateJust Lady is mainly in 26 mm case, which is a bit small from the present fashion point of view).
Before the release of the new Rolex Date Just Lady 31 mm collection (especially the white gold version), the ladies Rolex DateJust collection really look’s like small version of men’s DateJust. But now, we are glad to see that they really have some great timepieces with lovely feminine style. We can see the designer’s passion and creativity from these new Rolex Datejust watches. They are odes to the feminine aesthetics in different expression. I am looking forward to seeing more different versions released in the new Datejust Lady 31 mm collection.

Bell & Ross Vintage Carbon Series at Baselworld 2010

Dear readers, long time no see! I miss you so much. The server of this blog went down lately so I wasn’t able to update this blog for a while. NOW I AM BACK!
These days happened to be the biggest feast for the wristwatch world. I am so upset that I can’t keep you updated with the most exciting new models released at the Baselworld 2010. Now I am going to fill in the gap by offering you some old news at Baselworld. If you happen to miss the event, then here is a selected replay.
The first watches I am eager to share with you are the Bell & Ross Vintage BR Carbon Series Watches – the Vintage BR 123 Carbon and the Chronograph BR 126.

The no-frilled watches feature the classic Bell & Ross Vintage design: round-shaped, slim watch hands, slender leather strap. But these two watches are even more simple than the Bell & Ross Vintage 123 watch we mentioned in the previous post.
I am especially fascinated about its two-tone watch hands. The ochreous and black watch hands matches with the black dial and ochreous markers perfectly. The sharp contrast and simple design make the watch exceptionally legible.
Both watches are incorporated in a 41mm casing. The case is made of something called glass bead blasted stainless steel with vacuum carbon black finishes. I don’t know what it is exactly. But who cares? The watches just look great and that’s enough.
These two Bell & Ross Vintage watches are designed to pay homage to the military, in particular the pilots of the 1940s who were the first professionals to use the wristwatch as a tool to assist them in carrying out their missions. Simple, functional and timeless, these two watches can easily hit a man’s heart. I guess the Vintage replica Bell & Ross watches will be hot this year.
